Starfall is categorised as a Special weather event in Grow a Garden 2. It is part of the rotating server-wide weather system, where each event applies a temporary rule to the garden — usually a chance to apply one or more mutations to ripe crops.

While Starfall is active, ripe crops have a chance to roll one of the following mutations:

Weather mutations stack additively with each other, so if two weather events happen to overlap, the roll value compounds. See the mutation system explainer for the full stacking formula.

The optimal play during a Starfall window is to have high-value multi-harvest crops ripe on the plot when the event starts, so the mutation roll has the widest possible target set. Crops with a high base sell value benefit most from a multiplier roll; cheap crops gain little.
