Mega Moon Update

The Mega Moon Update adds two linked pieces of content: a rare night-time weather event (Mega Moon) and the Mythic event-only seed it drops (Mega Seed). The two are designed to work together — Mega Seed cannot be bought, crafted, or obtained from any pack, only picked up from the map while Mega Moon is active.

The update is named after its flagship weather event, which in turn is named for the enlarged moon visual it produces.

Mega Moon is a new night-time weather event. When it fires, the sky turns deep blue-purple, the moon enlarges, stars fill the sky, and the ground shakes. During the event, Mega Seeds spawn at random locations across the map for players to pick up.

• Duration: ~2 minutes (single-source)
• Trigger condition: night-time, random. No confirmed moon-phase binding.
• Effect: spawns Mega Seed at random map locations

Mega Seed is a new Mythic-tier event-only seed. It is not sold in any shop or pack — the only way to obtain it is to pick it up from the map while a Mega Moon weather event is active.

When planted, a Mega Seed grows a mega variant of a random non-limited crop. The resulting crop is visually oversized compared to the regular variant.

• Appearance: blue glowing block with sparkle particles and a light-blue halo
• Effect: grows a mega variant of any non-limited crop (random crop type)

The following aspects of the Mega Moon Update have no source as of this writing and are intentionally left blank in the data files rather than guessed:

• Mega Moon cooldown between triggers
• Whether Mega Moon is bound to a specific moon phase
• Mega Seed drop rate during a Mega Moon event
• Mega crop weight range (how much heavier than the base crop)
• Whether mega variants stack with mutations (Gold, Rainbow, etc.)
• The precise definition of "non-limited crop" (which crops are excluded)
