Crop Profitability Ranking: Every Crop in Grow a Garden 2, Ranked

Covers all 30 crops in Grow a Garden 2; ranks 21 with confirmed sell values and shop seed costs, sorted by profit (base sell value minus seed cost). Every sell value is sourced from the Site A calculator bundle and cross-checked against TheGamer and growagarden2wiki.net. No editorial guesswork — the table, the math, and the source conflicts are all in the open.

Methodology (transparent)

Data source
data/crops.json (calc_sell_value_sheckles field, extracted from the Site A calculator bundle).
Formula
profit = sell_value × weight² − seed_cost
Default weight = 1 kg for cross-crop comparison.
Confidence
18 of 21 ranked crops are cross_source_verified (Site A + TheGamer + growagarden2wiki.net agree within 5%). 3 crops carry a source-conflict note.
Limitations
Does not include mutation multipliers (see mutation research), and does not model the lifetime yield of multi-harvest crops. Use the calculator for those scenarios.

Last calibrated: 2026-06-21. Full calibration methodology on the data sources page.

Cost unknown — not ranked (profit cannot be computed): Ghost Pepper (2,500¢ sell), Poison Ivy (1,700¢ sell), Horned Melon (200¢ sell). These crops have a confirmed sell value but no shop-purchasable seed (event-, quest-, or Robux-gated), so a profit margin is undefined and they are excluded from the main ranking.
Excluded from ranking (sell value TBA): Baby Cactus, Dragon's Breath, Glow Mushroom, Moon Bloom, Mushroom, Venus Fly Trap. These crops' base sell values are not yet cross-verified, so they are not placed in the ranking per our accuracy rules.
